The amusing part is I can find someone in Austin who's dated one of the people I knew in RTP, someone who's connected to friends in Seattle and Portland.... the poly community really IS one big community in some ways. Some of the poly-friendly groups I regularly attend locally are Burning Man and Earth Day events, kink/BDSM events and Bi-friendly/pride groups. I'm lucky enough to live on the west coast, where co-housing, permaculture and sustainable living communities are also popular and my friends there have been accepting of poly. Online, tribe.net has a good selection of "alternative" communities to choose from, too. :) Kiki (ever the networker) I’ve found a few other local “crossover” communities where people have been more open to the idea of open relationships.
